My name is Jen Duchene and I help exhausted people pleasers to ask for what they want, feel authentic, joyful and create a lifestyle that expresses who they are openly and with love.

First of all – I understand how you feel. I used to feel that I couldn’t say or do what I wanted because it would hurt or disappoint those I loved.

I learned from a young age how to fit in, to be the “good girl” so that I would be liked and accepted. I had no idea how to create boundaries that would support me and nurture me. I only knew how to give in and give away.

I was a “yes woman” to everyone but me.

One day, I had a huge awakening. My daughter, a wise 12 year old at the time, said to me, “Mom, you’re like one of those people who would put an oxygen mask on everyone else but yourself, and suffocate trying to help other people.

That caused me to look at my life. I realized that she was right. I was so absorbed in other people – worrying about them, giving advice, showing up even if I was exhausted, feeling angry when they wouldn’t listen to me, and blaming everyone else for my problems.

I began to take steps in my life to find out who I was, what I wanted, and how to communicate with others in a healthy way. It was a step by step process,and I got a LOT of help, but eventually, I began to turn this around and feel free. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted when I stopped trying to “fix” everyone around me.

I was an interior designer at the time, and began this process by helping people create environments that were a true reflection of who they are and what they wanted.I took this step-by-step process and expanded it into coaching and teaching women how to make space for themselves in every area of their life.
