Dream to decorate

My book Le Chic Cocoon straddles the world between decorating and self discovery.  After all how can you have the one without the other?

If you don’t know who you are, can you choose what you need on your journey?

Chapter 4 is entitled Dream to do.  Virginia Woolf is a literary giant, who influenced me from a young age. So much so that she not only inspired my concept, quotes from her book, are touchstones for each chapter.  I was surprised to discover most of the quotes that resonated were from “A room of her own.”

The ability to dream and to act on those dreams is what separates humans from the other creatures in our world. The need to decorate our nest, and make it ours is common to all.

How will you discover who you are ?  What  speaks to your heart and you imagination?  Do you think being idle is a sin or a gift?

  1. I stopped dreaming for a while = now I spend stacks of time dreaming, writing about my dreams and then formulating plans from those dreams. So need to take the time to do this.

  2. Love how you weave Virgina Woolf through your book – it’s refreshing how you make older literary references current. That’s the curator in you!

  3. I love that you remind us to celebrate ourselves everyday- I’d agree 100%. I call it “wear sexy underwear” as you already know so I am going to go put my freshly cut roses in a vase right now and then cut some more! 🙂
